October 21, 2021 - Michael Adduci, English horn; Paul Thurmond, piano
Alyssa Morris - Chysalis (2015)
1. Caterpillar
2. Within the Chrysalis (3:56)
3. Butterfly (8:37)
Learning and performing this piece was one of the most enjoyable and moving experiences I've ever had as a performer; as a theorist, I also love all the transformations Dr. Morris makes to the original "caterpillar" theme. I hope you enjoy the piece as much as I do!
March 30, 2021 - Cherise D. Leiter, Seven Solitudes from Curecanti (2021)
1. Joyfully
2. With movement (1:42)
3. Flowing (2:56)
4. With gentle melancholy (6:15)
5. Delicately (8:42)
6. Playful (11:29)
7. Wistful (12:57)
This piece was a true joy to collaborate on, and I'm excited to share it with you! It is built on the theme of solitude or aloneness, and features the composer's original photography from the Curecanti National Recreation Area in Colorado. April 5, 2019 - Mary Matthews, flute; Michael Adduci, oboe; Paul Thurmond, piano:
Madeleine Dring, Trio for Flute, Oboe and Piano (1968)

Tennessee Tech's woodwind faculty play The Magnificent Seven (1960) by Elmer Bernstein
It took a really long time to edit this remote collaboration, but I'm so happy with how it turned out! Have fun!

Audio recordings from my live performances:
Cadenza written by Hansjorg Schellenberger, principal oboist of the Berlin Philharmonic from 1980-2001 - I love his Mozart/Bellini/Strauss album. A motorcycle drove by while I was playing the cadenza!
